Arlinda Denise Brown-Steed, 71, gained her wings on July 28, 2025. Born on August 5, 1953, to Charles Brown and Virginia Wilson at Bushwick Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
Arlinda graduated from Fort Hamilton High school where she sang in the school choir. She was in the first generation of the children’s choir at the Institutional Church of God and Christ.
Arlinda worked as a security officer where she had the opportunity to guard Muhammad Ali for several years. She was a devoted spouse to the late Martin Reynold. She is preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
Arlinda was the mother of two children Andre (Monie) Brown and Naterra (Terri) Steed. She leaves behind 14 siblings; 5 grandchildren, Raven Small, Andre Brown, Laddie Small, Andre Steed and Makahi Steed; five great-grandchildren, Cynah Small, Riley Morand-Gordon, Ahmir Brown, Cianni Small and Zinab Small. She is lovingly remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
