Barbara Ruth "Bobby" Goldman Stone

Barbara Ruth “Bobby” Goldman Stone passed away on April 26, 2026. She was the mother of Ricky Goldman and Beth Zahorsky (David). She was the grandmother of Michael Zahorsky and Marni Feldman (Seth). She was the great grandmother to Eliza Ray Feldman.

Bobby was born on April 13, 1933, and raised in New Brunswick, NJ. She was the daughter of Abraham and Dora (Feldman) Tamaroff and had an older sister, Helen Beloff. Bobby attended elementary, junior and high school in New Brunswick.

When Bobby was 18 years old, she married Meyer Goldman of Highland Park, NJ. They lived in Miami, Florida while Meyer was in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his discharge from military service, they returned to live briefly in New Brunswick and then in 1958, moved to Highland Park where Bobby lived until 2025. Following the death of her husband, Meyer Goldman, in 1966, Bobby married Robert “Bob” Stone. Bobby and Bob were married until Bob passed away in 2013.

Bobby worked in Highland Park at The Spot, a children’s clothing store and for 20 years at the Douglass University Student Co-op. She had a deep connection to Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, where she was a member of the youth group from age 16. Nearly all of her and her family’s significant life milestones took place at Anshe Emeth.

Bobby’s greatest joy in life was being with her family. She loved entertaining, being around people, and had a genuine vivaciousness and joy for life. She was magnetic, charming and a delight to be around, whether you knew her for 5 minutes or 70 years. Bobby was kind and caring to everyone she met and her smile truly made you feel loved. The number of people who were her friends was immeasurable. She was truly an extraordinary woman. Her loss is deeply felt and she will be greatly missed. May her memory be a blessing to all of those people who knew her.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM, Monday, April 27, 2026, at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, 222 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ, 08901. Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ.
