Barbara (Trokovich) Servon
October 7, 1953 – September 10, 2025
Barbara (Trokovich) Servon, 71, of East Brunswick, passed away on September 10, 2025. She grew up on Main Street in Milltown and graduated from New Brunswick High School in 1971. In 1986, Barbara moved to East Brunswick, where she has lived since with her loving husband and childhood sweetheart, Robert Servon, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage and a lifetime of love.
Barbara spent over 20 years working at Brunswick Bank and Trust and then as a bookkeeper for local businesses, including her brother’s. She also found great joy in being a cherished aunt and caregiver, especially to many of her nieces and nephews, whom she helped watch often when they were young. She had a way of making everyone feel remembered — never missing a birthday, anniversary, or holiday without sending a card. Her home was always open, and nothing was more comforting than one of her grilled cheese sandwiches with a glass of iced tea. Barbara also had a lifelong love for animals, caring for many pets through the years, including Shaun, Huggers, Leigh, Shane, and Casey.
She was predeceased by her parents, Bart and Annette (Gowen) Trokovich, and her great-nephew Augie Trokovich. She is survived by her husband, Robert Servon; her siblings Kathy Ambler, Linda and Jimmy Eccles, and Jeffrey Trokovich; as well as her nieces and nephews, who she affectionately called “the kiddies” (even as adults): Beth, Eric, Tracy, Johnny, Chris, Alexandria, Mel, Rigo, Jon, Caroline, Melissa, Joey, Jennie, Jess, Mike, Jack, Lourds, Alex, Jason, Ben, Max, Jakob, Jon, Nory, Amalia, Harper, Penelope, and Teddy.
Barbara was also a lifelong Elvis fan, and his music brought her joy throughout her life. Barbara may have left the building, but she will always remain in our hearts.
Services will be held at St. Paul’s Church in Milltown on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s name to the ASPCA or to an animal rescue of your choice.
