Britni Ariel Thompson

Britni Ariel Thompson was born on August 25, 1989, in Daytona Beach, Florida, to Barnett and Pamela Thompson. Our beloved daughter, sister, auntie, and friend went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2025.

A radiant soul who brought color and joy to everyone she met; Britni was known for her loving spirit, her favorite color pink, and her signature Jordan sneakers — a playful and proud part of how she expressed herself.

Residing in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Britni attended East Brunswick Vocational High School, graduating in 2007. Afterward, she furthered her education at Sanford Brown Institute where she received her degree in Medical Coding and Billing. She was previously employed at RWJBarnabas Health in New Brunswick, NJ, and Hackensack Meridian Health in Perth Amboy, NJ.

Britni enjoyed music, family gatherings, cooking, the beach, wrestling, horror films, and everything fashion. A true sneakerhead and fashionista, she absolutely loved her sunglasses and had a special way of turning ordinary moments into celebrations.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela Thompson; maternal grandparents, Anne and Donald Woodson; and paternal grandparents, Thaddeus and Maude Thompson.

Britni is survived by her: father, Barnett Thompson; two sisters, Shakera (Kevin) Harrell and Shana Thompson; one brother, Shikir Styles; six nephews and four nieces, Tajgie Styles, Kevin Harrell, Heaven Styles, Kyrin, Jahlil, Laiana Whitten, Serenity, Jamai, and Anneiri Edwards; five great-nieces and one great-nephew, Lillie & Tajgie Jr. Styles (Tajgie), Nellie, Nalani, Nyla, and N’Amaie Harrell (Kevin); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends — one being her best friend, Loreale Wilson.

A visitation service will be held 1:00PM to 3:00PM, Friday, November 14, 2025, at Mount Calvary Missionary Church, 150 Throop Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. A celebration of Britni's life will be held 3:00PM, Friday, November 14, 2025, at Mount Calvary Missionary Church. Interment is private.
