Mr. Carlos G. Manzanares

January 5, 1951 — August 10, 2021

Carlos G. Manzanares, 70, passed away on Tuesday, August 10,2021 with his family by his side. He was born in Esteli, Nicaragua and grew up in Managua. Carlos came to Boston, Massachusetts at the age of 24. There he met his wife Leonor Vera Manzanares. Together they moved to North Brunswick for a short time, then made their home in New Brunswick until his passing.

Carlos worked as a Printing Press Assistant for Webcraft and Vertis in North Brunswick for years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed watching and playing baseball. Carlos was a very friendly person, the life of the party kind of guy. He was charismatic and believed that "the cure to every illness was laughter". Every chance Carlos had, was spent enjoying his grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents Rafael and Emma (Hurtado) Manzanares, he is survived by his wife Leonor (Vera) Manzanares, his children, Carlos Manzanares, Jr., Leonor Manzanares and Rafael Manzanares and his grandchildren, Josue Martinez, Luis, Miguel, Amara, John and Winry Manzanares.

Visiting will be held at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 4-8 pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 9:30 am at the Parish of the Visitation-St. Mary of Mount Virgin RC Church,on the corner of Sandford Street and Remsen Avenue, New Brunswick. Cremation is private.
