Daniel Bendavid known to many as “Danny Holiday” 93, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2021. Daniel was born and raised in the Sephardic community of New Brunswick, NJ, raised his family in North Brunswick, and recently moved back to the area from Delray Beach FL. Danny was an incredibly warm and loving person who was loved by all. He valued everyone and considered no one a stranger. He served in the Navy, had a prosperous career as a sales executive at Pitney Bowes for many years, but his lifelong passion and hobby was being an entertainer. “Danny Holiday” and his orchestra delighted family affairs for over 30 years and he proudly donated his services across many organizations in the local community. He continued his passion for music with the Club Singers in Delray Beach where he continued to delight audiences throughout his retirement.
Deeply committed to his Sephardic heritage Danny and his wife Jane are members of Congregation Etz-Ahaim, Highland Park, NJ, the Synagogue in which his father Jack Bendavid was a founding member. Danny was an active member of the Sephardi Federation of Palm Beach County FL for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife Jane (Price) Bendavid of 64 years, daughter Beth & husband Frank Piersanti and son Bryan & wife Lisa as well as his cherished grandchildren Stephen & wife Sarah, Sarah & husband Eric, Emily, Carlie, Jared and great grandchildren Daniela Jane, Logan, Lillian and an extensive extended family.
A private graveside service will be held for Daniel. Shiva will be observed virtually on Zoom for people wishing to pay their respects to the family on Thursday Evening April 29, between 6:00 & 8:00 PM with a service at 7:00 PM and can be accessed using the link below.
