Dolores “Junior” Adorno, 75 years old, retired Rutgers University landscaper, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on June 25, 2026.
Originally from Caguas, Puerto Rico, he made a life for himself and his family in New Brunswick, NJ.
Known for his sense of humor, loyal friendship and most importantly, his love for his family. He loved spending his days watching the NY Mets, gardening and making memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived and missed by his partner and wife of almost 60 years, Carmen Ortiz, his children Janina Adorno and spouse Yajira Torres, Ivan Adorno and spouse Nydia Adorno, Carlos Adorno and spouse Socorro Adorno, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and countless family and friends who knew and loved him.
Visitation Services will be held 10:00 AM to 12:00PM, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ, with a prayer service at 12:00 PM. Entombment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in New Brunswick, NJ.
