Dorothy Ann Young McFadden was born on August 10, 1952 to Robert Young, Sr. and Dorothy L Young.
Dorothy attended the Franklin Township School System and furthered her education at Rutgers University, Cook Douglas Camp. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education.
Dorothy worked with the Christian Daycare, head start program and the Somerset County Board of Education.
Dorothy has lived in Greenville, SC, Washington DC and Somerset, NJ, where she later settled. She was a member of Church of Christ Written in Heaven, where she met and married Oral McFadden.
Dorothy is survived by her: husband, Oral McFadden; children, Charles Young of Florida, Aaron McFadden of Pennsylvania, Monique Elroy of New Jersey and Mercedes McFadden of New Jersey; two brothers, Rev. Charles Young and Rev. Kenneth Young both of New Jersey; sister, Diane Young James; God-children, Deidran Perkins and Salisa Smith, one sister-in-law, one son-in-law, two brothers-in-law, 16 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces nephews and friends.
