Edward John Carson

Edward J Carson, 74, passed away on August 14, 2026. He was born on September 21, 1951 to Marylin (Kuderle) and Earl Carson.

Edward J Carson grew up loving his BB gun and eventually learned how to hunt. He enjoyed hunting with a rifle with his brother and dad. He loved to fish and once caught a whooping 33lb flounder. Music was a big part of his life. It was a form of emotional expression for him.

In High School he was a prominent varsity wrestler for the Franklin High School Warriors. He would eventually graduate from South Brunswick High School.

Edward joined the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department in the Mid 70’s. He worked his way up and became a respected Chief of the Department. He was very dedicated.

Edward overcame many challenges in his life and came to know the loving saving power of Jesus. He was a member of St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church for most of his life, where he was baptized and confirmed.

Edward is preceded in death by his sons, his parents, his sister Lynn Mockovack (Edward) and his two brothers, Earl and William.

He is survived by his daughters, Nicole Keigher (Kevin)and Danielle Leshik (Andy), his grandchildren Kevin Jr., Jaidyn, Emily, Ethan, Dylan, Aaron, his sisters Debbie Sitlinger (Lee) and Susan Carson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or St. Augustine of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church, 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park, NJ 08824, with a visitation from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in Jamesburg, NJ.
