Edward Brian Miller

February 8, 1947 — December 28, 2025

Edward Brian Miller, known lovingly to all as Brian, was born on February 8, 1947, in New Brunswick, NJ, to Edward B. and Theresa E. Miller. After a life well-lived, he passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.

From an early age, Brian exhibited a remarkable gift for music. At just seven years old, he enchanted the congregation at St. Ladislaus Church with his beautiful rendition of "O Holy Night," marking the beginning of a lifelong passion for singing and performance. He continued to share his talent with his family and friends, performing the touching "Ave Maria" at the weddings of his beloved nieces and nephew. His dedication to his faith was further exemplified through his time serving as an altar boy at St. Ladislaus, where he laid the foundations for a life grounded in community and spirituality.

Educated at St. Ladislaus Grammar School and later graduating from St. Peter's High School, Brian was not only a diligent student but also a friend to many. He touched the lives of those around him with his genuine spirit and infectious joy. He worked for many years at Barker Bus Company, where his friendly demeanor and hard work were appreciated by all who knew him.

His passions extended beyond music and work, with a deep love for classic cars, particularly his treasured 1963 Corvette. Brian often spent his weekends finding hidden gems at yard sales and attending Englishtown events, relishing the thrill of discovering incredible deals. He adored the vibrant atmosphere of the Hungarian and Polish festivals, where the flavors of traditional foods matched his zest for life. A lover of adventure, Brian was also an avid boater and waterskiing enthusiast. Many fond memories were created on the Raritan River, particularly with his nieces, Pegeen and Renee, as they learned to waterski under his guidance, their laughter echoing across the water.

Brian is survived by his devoted sister, Darlene Mumber, along with cherished nieces K. Renee Fiala and Pegeen Mumber, and nephew Richard D. Mumber. His legacy continues in the lives of his great-nieces Darlene P., Lauren F., and Michelle M., as well as great-nephews Chris F., Mike F., and Derek M., and great-great-niece Amaya P. He is also remembered fondly by his close friend, Diana Lewis, and numerous cousins from the Miller and Fekete families, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Though he may have left this earth, the love and joy Brian shared will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace, embraced by the warmth of those who have gone before him, and may his spirit live on in the stories shared by those he loved and who loved him in return.
