Francisca (nee Robert-Savon) Guevara, 92, passed away at the Regency Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Somerset, NJ on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Born in Jamaica, Guantanamo, Cuba. Came to the United States and settled in Union City, NJ before moving to North Brunswick.
Francisca worked as a retail manager for Hiram Supermarket in Union City for many years. She enjoyed being a member of the Dance Club in Cuba. Francisca loved to dance, sing, cook and garden. She would visit her church frequently and spend her spare time praying. Her grandchildren played basketball in their youth, Francisca was always there to watch the games.
Predeceased by her parents, Alfonso and Iasis (Savon) Robert, and her beloved husband of 30 years, Ramon Guevara, Sr., she leaves behind to carry on her legacy her loving son and daughter-in-law, Ramon, Jr. and Maritza (Azcona) Guevara, her cherished grandchildren, Vanessa, Stephanie and Ricardo Guevara, and her sisters Isais Robert Savon and Nina Robert Savon.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 9:30 - 11:30 am at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Funeral Mass at 12 pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, 75 Morris Street, New Brunswick, NJ with interment following at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
