Obituary

In Loving Memory of John Louis Pingatore Sr.

John Louis Pingatore Sr., 80, passed away on October 10, 2026.

Born and raised in New Brunswick, New Jersey, John graduated from New Brunswick High School in 1965. That same year, he began his service in the United States Air Force, proudly serving as a Staff Sergeant from 1965 to 1969.

Following his military service, John dedicated his career to the City of New Brunswick Water Department, where he worked until his retirement. He was also a longtime member and regular attendee of the Italian American Club in North Brunswick, where he served as Vice President at one time and enjoyed the friendships and camaraderie of the community.

Above all, John cherished his family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, Alexis, John, and Skylar. An amazing cook, he enjoyed bringing loved ones together for family gatherings filled with good food, laughter, and memories. John also loved singing and was a devoted Rutgers football fan.

John leaves behind his beloved wife, Marion; his son, John Jr., and daughter-in-law, Amy; and his three cherished grandchildren, Alexis, John, and Skylar.

John was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Mary (Dellapa) Pingatore, and his sister, Joanne Pingatore-Bockman.

John will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his country and hometown, his love of cooking and singing, and, most of all, his desire to be surrounded by the people he loved. His warmth, friendships, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
