Laszlo Borbas, 91, passed away peacefully at Care One at East Brunswick, on Saturday, September 17, 2022. He was born in Hungary, came to the United States in 1957 to New Brunswick, where he lived for 6 years. Laszlo and his family moved to Highland Park, where they resided for 33 years before moving to North Brunswick in 1996.
Laszlo was self employed along with his son with L. Borbas & Son for many years as an electrician.
He was a very dedicated member of the Magyar Reformed Church. Laszlo was Chief Elder for the congregation, a member of the Consistory Board, Property Committee and Renovations Committee. A highlight for Laszlo was working at the Hungarian Festival every June.
Predeceased by his parents Lajos and Matilda (Lakatos) Borbas, his wife Sara (Bodo) Borbas, surviving are his devoted children Frank Borbas and his wife Ibolya, of North Brunswick, and Linda and her husband David Becker, of Sebastian, FL, loving grandchildren, Christina and her husband William Blackiston Wilmer, VIII, Victoria Borbas and Elizabeth Becker and cherished great grandson William Blackiston Wilmer, IX.
Visitation will take place at the Gowen Funeral Home, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick from 9 - 11 am. Funeral Service will begin at the funeral Home at 11 am, followed by entombment in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
