With deep reverence, we celebrate the life and honor the memory of Leroy McMillan, who departed from this life on August 17, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on July 19, 1947, Leroy’s journey through the decades was one of quiet dignity, steadfast devotion, and a lasting commitment to family.
Leroy McMillan’s legacy is cherished most intimately by those who knew him best—his beloved children and grandchildren, his siblings, and the broad embrace of extended family that circled around him. He is survived by his devoted son, Sedrick Milton, daughter Nicole McMillan-Jones (Arthur), and stepsons Vishon & Ovis Thomas each a living testament to the love and wisdom he imparted. The joys of his later years were multiplied by the laughter and warmth of his grandchildren: Shyla Milton, Kyrie Milton, Sterling Jones, Anaya Jones and Nazari Jones —each beneficiary of Leroy’s gentle encouragement and stories of times gone by.
A man of profound family values, Leroy was a cherished brother to Mary McMillan, Shirley Thomas and Morris Thomas. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Their shared experiences—from childhood lessons to grown-up camaraderie—wove an unbreakable bond of kinship and affection.
Leroy built a career with hard work & loyalty to his McMillan family. He owned his own business Leroy Cleaning Service. He also built houses & managed buildings throughout his life.
As the sun sets on Leroy’s generation, we pause to remember those family members who predeceased him and now welcome him into eternity. His father, Lamar Hall, and his mother, Morze McMillan Jackson, laid the foundation of love and strength that Leroy built upon throughout his life. He is reunited with his siblings, Theo McMillan, Arthur Thomas McMillan, and Annie Thomas, their memories held dear as Leroy’s own story joins theirs.
To honor Leroy’s memory and celebrate all that he has meant to family and friends alike, gatherings of remembrance will be held on August 25, 2026, at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Ave, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. A Life Celebration Visitation will commence at 10:00 AM and conclude at 11:00 AM. Immediately following, at 11:00 AM, the Funeral Service will be held at the same location, offering an opportunity for all to share memories, shed tears, and recall the grace with which Leroy navigated life’s joys and tribulations. Interment will take place at 12:30 PM at Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 NJ-27, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902, where Leroy will be laid to rest among the countless generations who preceded him.
With humility and gratitude, those left behind commemorate the rich tapestry of Leroy McMillan’s life—a tapestry woven of family, remembrance, and enduring love. His spirit lives on in the many lives he touched, and his memory will remain a treasured keepsake in the hearts of those who survive him.
