Linda Katz

Linda Katz of Monroe Township, New Jersey passed away peacefully on January 4, 2023 at the age of 80. Linda was born July 24, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. Her brother, Martin, joined the family four and a half-years later.

Linda excelled in school, winning accolades throughout her high school career. She went on to attend Brooklyn College and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Linda taught elementary school in Brooklyn for several years.

Linda met and married her beloved husband Paul in 1969. Daughter Rochelle was born in 1971, and they moved a year later to Aberdeen, New Jersey, which they referred to as “the country.” Once her daughter began elementary school, Linda went back to college to earn her Master’s Degree in Special Education and her Learning Disabilities Teacher/Consultant certificate. She began working in Brielle Elementary School as a learning consultant and coordinator of the child study team, a job that she loved. She worked in Brielle for many years until her retirement.

Linda was proud of her organizational skills and loved “crossing things off her list.” She loved reading, needlepoint, and planning vacations. After her husband Paul passed away, Linda moved to Concordia, in Monroe Township, NJ. She enjoyed spending time at the pool with old friends and new.
She loved being a grandmother to her grandson Liam, and enjoyed spending time with him and celebrating special occasions.
