Marilyn Ann Williams was born August 9, 1943, in Statesville, North Carolina to Mary Strange and Cleveland Dixon. She departed this life on November 23, 2021.
At the age of five years old, when her mother passed, she moved to Harlem, New York with her great aunt.
Marilyn loved the Lord. She also loved music and her family and friends. She raised a lot of children as her own and would always open her door to people in need.
Marilyn was married to Benny Williams, who is now deceased. She later married Jerome McKinney.
Marilyn is survived by her: daughters, Tracey S. Wroten and Kim Dixon; son, Brian L. Dixon; grandchildren, Khadiijah Wroten, Taizhan Wroten and Rayquan Cumberbatch; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
