Marta M Candelaria

Marta Milagros Candelaria (“Martita”), long-time resident of New Brunswick, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024, at the age of 74 years. Marta was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to Brooklyn in her youth before moving to New Jersey to start her family. She worked as a Legal Secretary for the Public Defender’s Office and served as a counselor at Women Aware, Inc. for many years. Loving mother of David Cruz Jr. and Madai Cruz-Poole. Devoted grandmother to David-Adan Cruz, Marc Austin Poole II, David Gregory Poole, Ivan Marcus Cruz, Ariana Yasmin Cruz, and Elizabeth Kaye Poole. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
