Mrs. Omara Ramos Diggs, 39, lost her courageous battle with kidney and pancreas disease on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at UMDNJ-University Hospital in Newark. She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, lived in Perth Amboy and Newark, and most recently moving to North Brunswick.
Omara had worked as a transportation coordinator with the Middlesex County Board of Social Services in New Brunswick for many years. Unfortunately she had to give up her position due to her illness and has been a homemaker for the past ten years. She was a homebody, who loved everyone and was deeply loved by all in return.
She leaves behind to carry on her legacy her husband, David Diggs, her father Hadid Ramos, her mother Ivette Kwast, her mother-in-law Jamillah Torres and her sisters Brenda Ramos-Jimenez and her husband Anthony and Genesis Ramos. She will be missed by her nephews and her niece Anthony K. Jimenez, Gabriel Jimenez and Jalysa Jimenez, her loved child Mecca Diggs, her aunts Rosa Perez, Lydia Perez, Sofia Soto, Nilda Lopez, Jeannette Soto and her uncle Americo Soto and a many, many cousins and friends.
Visitation will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 9:45-11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
