Patricia R. Deri

Patricia R. Deri, age 85, passed away peacefully at Rose Mountain Care Center on September 24, 2025. Born on January 7, 1940, in Newport News, Virginia, she was the daughter of Lila Walker and Harry Ragland. Patricia cherished the companionship of her brother, Harry E. Ragland Jr., maintaining a close bond throughout their lives.

Though she traveled extensively, Patricia called New Jersey home for 39 years, a testament to her deep affection for the community and the cherished memories she created there. She was a beloved wife to her late husband, Nicholas Deri Jr., sharing 42 years of marriage filled with love and devotion.

Patricia is survived by her loving daughter, Julia Theresa Deri, and her husband, Luis Antonio De Jesus, who reside in New Brunswick. The family, along with many other relatives, will undoubtedly feel the absence of Patricia's warm and vibrant presence in their lives. Her passing leaves a profound void for all who knew and loved her.

A dedicated professional, Patricia worked for American Express in Washington, D.C., and held various roles in different companies before finding her calling with the City of New Brunswick. There, she made significant contributions to the Department of Recreation, where she not only facilitated programs but also shared her passion for sports by teaching soccer and engaging children in the Play Safe program.

Patricia held a diverse array of interests that brought her joy. She had a special fondness for Bingo and soccer, as well as a love for cats. Traveling was an adventure she relished, and she enjoyed following the New York Yankees. Her admiration for Tom Selleck, Engelbert Humperdinck, and Lady Gaga enriched her life, and her favorite color, purple, was a true reflection of her vibrant personality. Patricia loved spending her time staying updated with celebrity news, sharing in the enjoyment of the lives and stories of those in the spotlight.

The visitation for Patricia R. Deri will be held on September 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, located at 239 Livingston Ave, New Brunswick, NJ, 08901.
