Robert Cabrera, 65, passed away suddenly at his home in Highland Park, NJ on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he grew up in Metuchen and had lived many years in Edison. Within the past year Robert made his residence in Highland Park.
Robert was employed for many years before retiring due to his health challenges, with OHM Laboratories in North Brunswick, NJ in the packaging department as a forklift operator..
He was a bowling enthusiast. Throughout the years, Robert belonged to many bowling leagues at the old Carolier Lanes, now known as Bowlero Lanes in North Brunswick, NJ.
Predeceased by his mother Carmen (Perez) Cabrera, he is survived by his beloved father, Felix Cabrera, of Edison, NJ, his cherished son, Jonathan Cabrera Bonilla, of Anchorage, AK, his loving wife, Marisol Bonilla, his dear sisters, Darlene and her husband, Jose Arvello and Gladys Gonzalez, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 9 am to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will follow at Transfiguration Parish-St. Paul the Apostle RC Church, Raritan Avenue, Highland Park, NJ at 11:15 am. Entombment of his cremated remains willl take place at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
