Robert G. Leavitt

Robert George Leavitt passed away peacefully at his home on May 14th at the age of 94. He was born and raised in Boston and moved to New Jersey in 1968. He was a CPA and spent most of his career working for Mobil Oil, retiring in 1990. Following his retirement he was extremely active in his community and volunteered for multiple organizations. He and his wife Lorry were married for 58 years and loved to travel the world in their spare time, also enjoying theater and dining out. His greatest joys were spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Lorry, daughter Lisa Peskin (Craig), son Benjamin (Gayle), and granddaughters Lindsey, Lily and Reese.

Funeral services will be held at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, 222 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick at 10am, Sunday May 17th, immediately followed by graveside services at the Beth Israel cemetery at 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ at the outdoor mausoleum.

Shiva will be held on the following schedule:

Sunday, May 17th - 6-8pm, 444 Harmony Way, Monroe Twp, NJ

Monday, May 18th - 1-3pm and 6-8pm, 444 Harmony Way, Monroe Twp, NJ

Tuesday, May 19th - 530-8pm, 544 Codding Road, Westfield, NJ
