Sidney Hampton Williams, III, affectionately known to his family as "Tré," passed away leaving a legacy of deep love, and joy on June 23, 2026. He was 34 years old.
Sidney was born on January 6, 1992, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Sidney (Jr) and Sonya Williams. A lifelong resident of New Brunswick, Sidney was educated in the New Brunswick Public School system and graduated from New Brunswick High School in 2010. He later furthered his education at Buffalo Community College in Buffalo, New York.
Sidney was a passionate athlete who loved sports, especially football. He excelled on the field from a young age, playing Pop Warner for the New Brunswick Raiders and later competing for the New Brunswick High School Zebras.
Above all, Sidney was fiercely devoted to his family. He loved with his whole heart, gave freely, and acted as a protector to those he held dear. He was a proud and loving father who cherished each moment he spent with his three children. Known for his infectious smile and unforgettable laugh, Sidney brought pure joy to everyone around him. Those that truly knew him will testify as tough as his exterior was, he was also a gentle soul inside.
Sidney was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents Dorothy Jean Williams and James Thomas and Paternal Grandparents Ruby and Sidney Williams Sr.
He leaves behind a devoted family to cherish his memory; his parents Sidney (Jr) and Sonya Williams; 3 children, his daughters, Kaia (Michigan) and Sidney Nicole (Neptune) and his son, Amar Sidney (Perth Amboy); his siblings: sisters, Sonyae Williams (Jersey City, NJ) and Theresa Williams (North Brunswick, NJ); and his brother, Dwayne Heard (Youngstown, OH); his God-Sister Sidnee Alexander (New Brunswick); 3 Cousins Raised as Siblings, "sister-cousin/twin" Zhanshai (Anthony) Williams-Anderson, and his "brother-cousins" Farrahd and Ahmal Williams; his special Aunt Damica Williams ("Auntie Mush"), whom he loved dearly as a bonus mom; A host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a circle of very special friends who were just as close as his family.
Sidney was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be remembered for a lifetime and beyond.
