Thomas J Froggatt, 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Heritage of Clara Barton in Edison, NJ.
Thomas was born May 19, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA to Thomas Froggatt and Marie (Mentz) Froggatt. His family moved to Cinnaminson, NJ in 1957. Tom attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and Cinnaminson High School. Tom worked at Merion Caterers, Cinnaminson Manor and several other jobs. He was a long-time member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish where he volunteered at their yearly carnival. Tom also joined the Holy Name Society. Through this affiliation, he began to participate in annual retreats at the San Alfonso Retreat House in Long Branch NJ, attending 30 of these in his lifetime. Tom was an avid bowler, taking part in several leagues and had a high game of 266.
Tom relocated to Lecanto, FL with his mother, where he worked at Winn Dixie supermarket. In 1997, Tom moved to Highland Park, NJ and lived briefly with his sister Evelyn until he got his own apartment in town. He was a loyal Stop & Shop employee and member of Local 1262 for 18 years. Tom was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church and served as an usher and member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6306.
In October 2016, Tom moved into the assisted living facility of Heritage of Clara Barton. While there, Tom enjoyed shooting pool, playing Bingo and talking with the other residents. He loved music, especially 50’s and 60’s Rock and Roll and the Motown/Philly sound, and loved to dance at the parties held at Heritage. Tom became a huge New York Yankees and Giants fan.
His family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Heritage of Clara Barton and Caring Hospice for all the care they provided to Tom.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Froggatt and Marie (Mentz) Froggatt and his sister, Evelyn Apgar. He is survived by his: brothers, William, Joseph (Vickie) and John; sisters, Linda Lalama (Anthony) and Mary Markovich (Brian) and eleven nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass will be 10AM, Friday, February 17, 2023, Our Lady of Peace Church, 1730 US-130, North Brunswick, NJ where friends may visit from 9:15AM. Inurnment will be 11AM, Saturday, February 18, 2023, North Cedar Hill Cemetery, E Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA.
